Diego Price is a Senior Associate of our Corporate / M&A and Financing teams. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and financing transactions. He is experienced in designing, structuring, negotiating, and implementing M&A and financing transactions, particularly in private equity and cross-border deals.
Diego earned his law degree (Juris Doctor equivalent) from the University of Lima, Peru, where he ranked in the top 10% of his class. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from New York University, graduating as a Dean’s Scholar. Additionally, he obtained an Advanced Professional Certificate in Law and Business from New YorkU Stern School of Business with a 4.0 GPA and has completed law and business courses at the University of Salamanca, Spain.
He was recognized as one of the Top 10 “Rising Star Dealmakers” in Peru by the international publication Transactional Track Record (TTR) for three consecutive years (2019 – 2021).
Before joining RC Law, Diego worked as an associate at Rebaza, Alcazar & De Las Casas and Rodrigo, Elias & Medrano in Lima. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Peru and is fluent in English and Spanish.

- Counsel to Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) in the acquisition of Terna Group’s electric transmission lines in South America (Brazil, Uruguay and Peru) for € 265 million.
- Counsel to H.I.G. Capital in the acquisition of Ransa Group, largest logistics operator in Peru. This cross-border deal involved 9 jurisdictions in South and Central America.
- Counsel to Stonepeak Partners in the acquisition of Cirion, Lumen Technologies’ Latin American operations for US$ 2.7 billion. First transaction to be approved in Peru by Peruvian antitrust authority (INDECOPI) under the general merger control regime.
- Counsel to Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), Banco Santander and other syndicated banks in the refinancing to Digital Data Centre for € 320 million.
- Counsel to Andino Group in the formation of a private investment fund with Gramercy Funds Management.
- Counsel to Comtech Telecommunications in the merger with Gilat Satellite Networks with an enterprise value of US$ 533 million.
- Counsel to the sellers in the sale of Quicorp, largest retail pharmacy chain in Peru to InRetail (Intercorp Group) for US$ 583 million.
- Counsel to Sumitomo Corporation in the acquisition of a minority stake in Minera Yanacocha, largest gold mine in South America.
- Counsel to TMF Group in the acquisition of FiduPeru, a trustee company supervised by the Peruvian Banking Superintendence, previously owned by Bancolombia.
- Counsel to Natixis, Société Générale and Banco de Credito del Peru in the financings to Minera Chinalco for an aggregate loan amount of US$ 460 million.
- Counsel to I Squared Capital in the acquisition of Inkia Energy, a subsidiary of IC Power in Latin America and the Caribbean which comprised operations across 9 jurisdictions for US$ 1.2 billion.
