Marta Garcia is a Partner in the Miami office of RC Law LLP, where she advises businesses ranging from early-stage startups to established corporations and high-net-worth individuals. Her clients operate across a wide range of industries, including pharma and clinical research, construction, retail, aviation, hospitality, and food. Marta acts as outside general counsel to private companies and family offices, guiding them through complex business transactions, employment matters, corporate governance, and compliance with U.S. regulatory frameworks.

Praised by clients for her clear commercial vision and depth of experience, Marta is recognized for her sophisticated handling of complex deals. Ms. Garcia holds a “Grado en Derecho” (equivalent to a Juris Doctor) from Universitat de Barcelona, in Spain, and a Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. She also holds certifications from Cornell University in Securities Law and in U.S. Private Sector Privacy Laws by IAPP.

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Garcia is the author of several international publications and is a co-author of the U.S. chapter of the “Guide on Shareholders’ Agreements” (2018), published by the International Bar Association. She also serves on a pro bono basis as Assistant Secretary of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation USA, a nonprofit organization devoted to fighting poverty in India.

  • Lead counsel to one of the largest hotelier family offices in Spain in connection with the reorganization of their 19-entities group to a lean 4-entity structure.
  • Lead counsel to one of the largest European manufacturers of canned fish in connection with their U.S. implantation and expansion, and with the negotiation of manufacturer and supply agreements with nationwide supermarket chains.
  • Counsel in connection with the sale of assets of a branded dermatology division to a prominent pharmaceutical company.
  • Counsel in the bid process, negotiation, and award of several contracts for a foreign client with several large US cities, in order to improve their accessibility to public transportation.
  • Lead counsel for one of the largest aviation service providers worldwide, in connection with the negotiation and drafting of services agreements with airlines and airport authorities.
  • Counsel to leading biometrics-technology startup on executive compensation and employee benefits matters.
